Industrial Fabrics, Inc. ("Industrial Fabrics," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Statement explains what personal information we collect through our website, https://ind-fab.com (the "Website"), why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.

This Privacy Statement applies to all visitors to the Website, including residents of the United States.

For details specifically about cookies and similar technologies, please see our Cookie Policy.

1. Who We Are

Industrial Fabrics, Inc. is a supplier of geosynthetics, erosion control, sediment control, and related construction products, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We are the party responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Statement. Our contact details are in Section 11.

2. Our Approach

We collect as little personal information as possible.

We do not use website analytics. We do not track your browsing behavior, we do not record which pages you visit, and we do not use tracking pixels or analytics cookies on this Website.

We do not use advertising or targeting technologies, and we do not sell your personal information.

The personal information we hold is, in almost all cases, information that you have chosen to send us through our Contact Us form.

3. Personal Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

Contact Us form. When you submit an inquiry through our Website, we collect:

Information Why we collect it
Your name To identify you and address you correctly in our reply
Your email address To respond to your inquiry
Your company name To understand the business context of your inquiry
Your telephone number To contact you about your inquiry, if needed
Your project location To determine product suitability, availability, and shipping considerations
The content of your message To understand and respond to your request

Providing this information is voluntary, but we cannot respond to an inquiry without at least your name, your message, and a way to reach you.

Other correspondence. If you contact us by telephone or email, we will have a record of that correspondence and any information you choose to share in it.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

Our Website does not use analytics, and we do not automatically collect information about your browsing activity.

As with any website, our web server may record standard technical information — such as the IP address of the device making a request — as part of its normal operation and for security purposes. This information is not used to identify you or to track your activity.

3.3 Embedded Google Map

Our Contact page includes an embedded Google Map. This map is blocked by default and loads only if you consent. If you choose to load it, your IP address is transmitted to Google LLC, and Google may place cookies on your device. If you do not load the map, no information is sent to Google. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

3.4 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your date of birth, marital status, financial account information, government identification numbers, biometric information, precise geolocation, or any special categories of sensitive personal information through the Website.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect only for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and to communicate with you about products, quotes, or projects you have asked about.
  • To provide products and services you or your company request, and to manage our business relationship with you.
  • To prevent spam and abuse of our contact form.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the Website.
  • To comply with our legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use your personal information for advertising or marketing profiling.

5. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Spam filtering. Contact form submissions are checked by Akismet, an anti-spam service provided by Automattic, Inc. To perform this check, the content of your submission — including your name, email address, IP address, and message — is transmitted to Automattic. Automattic acts as our service provider and processes this information only to determine whether the submission is spam. For more information, see Automattic's Privacy Policy at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
  • Website hosting. Our website host stores the Website and any data submitted through it, on our behalf.
  • Email. Our email provider transmits and stores inquiries sent to us.
  • Google Maps. Only if you consent to load the embedded map on our Contact page, your IP address is transmitted to Google LLC. See Section 3.3.
  • Within our business. Our staff use your inquiry information to respond to you and fulfill your request.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. How Long We Keep Personal Information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement:

  • Contact form inquiries are retained for 365 days (one year) from the date of your inquiry, after which they are deleted — unless a longer period is required for an ongoing business relationship, to comply with our legal obligations, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Because we do not use analytics, we hold no analytics data about you.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

7. How We Protect Personal Information

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. Our Website uses encryption (HTTPS) to protect information in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Industrial Fabrics does not sell your personal information for money, and we do not disclose your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this Website.

Certain state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly, and may treat loading third-party embedded content — such as our Google Map — as "sharing," because your IP address is transmitted to Google when the map loads. Because the map is blocked by default, no such transmission occurs unless you choose to load it.

To ensure no such sharing takes place, you may:

  • Decline in our cookie banner when you first visit the Website;
  • Click "Manage Consent" in the footer of any page at any time and withdraw your consent; or
  • Contact us using the details in Section 11 and ask us to opt you out.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising this or any other privacy right. You will receive the same quality of service and access to our Website and products whether or not you consent.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on the state in which you live, applicable privacy laws may give you the following rights:

  • Right to know / access — to request confirmation of whether we process your personal information, and to obtain the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to delete — to request that we delete personal information we collected from you.
  • Right to correct — to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out — to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising.
  • Right to data portability — to receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
  • Right to non-discrimination — not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.
  • Right to appeal — in some states, to appeal our decision regarding your request.

10. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any right described above, contact us using the details in Section 11. Please tell us which right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate your records.

Verification. To protect your privacy, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding. We may ask you to confirm information already in our records. We will not use information you provide for verification for any other purpose.

Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Timing. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we need more time, we will tell you.

Cost. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to a request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded, in which case we will explain why and provide a cost estimate before proceeding.

Appeals. If we decline your request and you wish to appeal, contact us at the details in Section 11 with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal." We will respond in writing with our decision and the reasons for it.
